Investment Opportunities:
- 600 MWp Solar PV project at Kot Addu / Muzaffargarh through competitive bidding
- 1800 MWp solar PV projects in Punjab are also planned to be developed under G2G mode
- RFP for 50 MW Solar PV Project in Sindh is being prepared and is expected to be floated by September 2023
- Another 500 MW wind capacity and 2500 MW solar PV capacity to be procured from Category-III projects (The projects holding LOI only)
Additional Renewable energy potential
Apart from committed pipeline projects, the IGCEP requires an addition of 13,391 MW of alternative and renewable energy powered generation by 2031.

THAR COAL
Investment Opportunities:
- Thar coal has a potential of 175 Billion tons of Lignite coal spread over 9000 Sq. kms.
- So far only two coalmines of 15.6 Million tons per annum (at Thar Block-I and Block-II) are at initial stage and can be expanded up to 45 Million tons per annum.
- Huge investment potential is available for development of new mines of up to 100 MTPA along with allied infrastructure as more than 8000 Sq. km is available for foreign and local investment.
- Investment along with its lucrative returns can be obtained through following avenues.
