Mr. Ali Nawaz joined Private Power and Infrastructure Board, Ministry of Water and Power in November 2007 as Senior Manager Projects (Coal). Before joining PPIB he worked with WAPDA for about 16 years.

He is a Gold Medalist Mechanical Engineer from Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, and Masters in Business Administration. In addition to 03 Gold Medals he has been awarded with a series of appreciation and meritorious certificates. He has gone through various technical trainings and attended relevant courses in Management, Finance and Computers.

He has vast experience of about 24 years in supervising the operation and maintenance of conventional thermal power projects especially coal power projects, construction works of power plants, management and regulatory issues of thermal power projects, public dealing, human resource management, contract negotiations, contract administration, project analyses, financial modeling, feasibility studies, report generating, and team leading etc.
